Stellenbosch Football Club (FC) are looking forward to booking their final berth when they host Mamelodi Sundowns FC in the second leg of the MTN8 semi-final at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban this afternoon at 15h00. 

Sundowns are in a quandary after going down 1-0 to Stellenbosch FC in their first leg in their own backyard in Pretoria on Wednesday,  Aug. 28.

On the other hand, Stellies (Stellenbosch) have one foot in the final owing to the away goal secured against Sundowns. Thus, they will be set out to consolidate their advantage.

However, that would need a strong and fortified defence to ward off any threat from the star-studded opponents.

A draw by any scoreline favours the hosts.

For the Brazilians, as Sundowns have come to be known, it will be a must-win clash this afternoon.

Pirates beat CT City 2-0

The triumphant (on aggregate) team between Stellenbosch and Sundowns will face Orlando Pirates FC in the MTN8  final.

Pirates defeated Cape Town City FC 2-0 yesterday at Orlando Stadium in Soweto. 

Following their 1-1 draw in the first leg on Wednesday, the former emerged victorious with an aggregate score of  3-1.
