Lamine Yamal left-foot sumptuous curler brought Spain back into the reckoning after they trailed 8 minutes into the penultimate semi-final duel of the Euro 2024 at Allianz Arena in Munich tonight.
France got off to a promising start when Randal Kolo Muani nodded Kylian Mbappe’s chip into the box just 8th minute from kick off. That got them fired up to set Spain on a back foot.
However, it was not long before the 16-year-old teenage Lamine Yamal rattled the back of the net with an outrageous thunder curler into the top corner to cancel France’s lead in the 21st minute.
And for the sucker punch, Dani Olmo found a winner 4 minutes later. France trailed and never recovered for the remainder of the exhilarating game.
Even though the French had more time to rekindle their hopes, the Spanish were too good on Tuesday night. They kept the ball well and got France worryingly running a few threats. So good was Spain’s defence except on one condition where they conceded an ought goal.
Now Spain is into the final and will face the winner between England and Netherlands playing tomorrow in the second semi-final of Euro 2024 at Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund.
