The corridor to the round of 16 in the 17th competition of the UEFA European Championship 2024 goes full steam tonight with two fantastic fixtures from Group B. With the exception of Spain that has secured next round qualification, all the other three countries can still make the grade for the knockout stage.

The city of Leipzig has the honour of bearing witness to Croatia-Italy crunch final Group B match at Leipzig Stadium tonight at 21h00.
Croatia’s path to the knockout stage is abundantly clear. With one point from two fixtures, it needs a straight win; anything less spells the end of the road.
A win would take the Croatians to four points and the rest will hinge on permutations from the other results.
Italy are the current holders of the UEFA European Championship. They are 2nd in the group with three (3) points.
Thus, it is not yet obvious whether Italy would qualify.
This is a tricky group because Spain has already qualified to the knockout stage with six (6). Tonight it plays Albania at Duesseldorf Arena in Düsseldorf at 21h00.
With a mere point, Albania is in the same predicament as Croatia. To secure a berth in the next round, it must secure and outright win.
That said, any outcome is inconsequential for Spain.
The jostle for qualification lies between Italy, Croatia and Albania. The next step for them hangs in the balance. But for tonight, the tussle is for the second position in Group B matches to be playedconcurrently.
However, there is also a place for only four teams that may qualify by virtue of being the 3rd-place best finishers.
To this end, there are six groups in Euro 2024. Therefore, there will be six teams vying for these four spots.
