The fascinating first games of the 17th European Football Association (UEFA) 2024 championship are purposefully steaming ahead today.

The European Championship (Euro) 2024 favourites England embark on their quest for the honours against  Serbia at Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany – the host country.

This Group C match begins at 21h00.

As optics go, Serbia will face a much-talented youthful attack in Jude Bellingham of Real Madrid, Phil Foden of Manchester City and Bukayo Saka of Arsenal Football Club.

Of course the Serbs will not fold their arms and rollover to be trampled upon.

They sure will, in the touted impending English onslaught, set out to show their worth and claim their place with a victory-inspired performance of their own.

Group C – Today : Slovenia vs Denmark

Before the England-Serbia clash, there is an intriguing duel pitten in this group.

The Slovenian will fancy their chances when they meet the Danes at 18h00 this evening at HMP Arena in Stuttgart.

Group D – Today: Poland vs Netherlands

However, Poland takes on Netherlands in Group D at Volksparkstadion in Hamburg this afternoon at  15h00.

Again, this group will shape up squarely tomorrow when Austria battles France at Merkur Spiel Arena in Duesseldorf on Monday, June 17 at 21h00.
