The Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League between Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club (FC) and TP Mazembe FC for the quarterfinals qualification this afternoon is a mere formality.

This Group A clash at Lucas “Masterpieces” Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville, Pretoria, is scheduled for 15h00 kick off on Saturday, Mar. 2, 2024.

Both clubs have already qualified for the next last-eight championship of Africa’s elite league games.

However, the Ravens [Mazembe] beat Sundowns 1-0 in their first-leg in the Democratic Republic of Congo on Dec. 3, 2023.

Today, the Brazilian [Sundowns] are home to avenge, if any pride to be stored.

Even so, these African giants are equal on 10 points and the winner will be the Group A leaders going in the quarterfinals.

Group A: Pyramids play Nouadhibou

Pyramids FC will host FC Nouadhibou of Mauritania in their final group-stage draw at 30 June Stadium in Cairo, Egypt, today at 15h00 SAT.

These teams did not qualify, thus, their game is also for honouring the CAF Champions League fixtures.
