Four days into the inception of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023 men’s competition, South Africa gets its match underway tonight.

They face Mali in a Group D at Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium in Korhogo,  in Ivory Coast, at 22h00.

Prior to this match, Namibia stunned Tunisia to a 1-0 victory at the same venue Dion Hotto headed home a beautiful cross sweeped into the box where he peeled away from tunisian defense. As it stands, Namibia tops the group with three points.

This is a historic win for Nambia at this contest.

In Group C, Burkina Faso won a penalty against Mauritania and squeezed it in in the dying minutes at the AFCON 2023 throne quest.
