Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club (FC) continued their impressive display by seeing off Kaizer Chiefs FC in the DStv Premiership match at FNB Stadium Saturday night.
The 20-minute awesome strike by Neo Maema resulted in the only goal of the highly hyped up draw between the two elite football giants.
Although the Brazilians dictated play in the first half, host Chiefs changed tactics to match their guests pound-for-pound. So much so coach Arthur Zwane felt they should have scored more goals had they converted opportunities that accrued.
Similarly, Rhulani Mokwena, Sundowns coach, was less than impressed by his players and hinted that he will have a word with them to mend their lackadaisical approach in the second half.
The league game did not hold any significance regarding the log standings. But the win means that Sundowns stretched their lead to 46 points on top after 18 games. Meanwhile Amakhosi are 6th with 24 points after 17 league matches.
