Germany, Belgium fight for survival in 2022 World Cup

Germany will be in a vital battle to avoid being eliminated in the group stage of the 2022 World Cup when it clashes with Costa Rica at Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor tonight.

This Group E match will be played concurrently with that of Spain against Japan scheduled at 21h00. Although Spain leads the group with four points where Japan and Costa Rica are equal on three points, Germany on one point, any of these four countries can qualify to the knock-out round.

Similarly, Croatia (on four points), Belgium and Morocco (both on three points) in Group F can still qualify to the elimination phase except Canada – already out of the contest sitting without a point. This group kickoff at 17h00 today.
