Argentina set yet another quest for the World Cup they last won in 1996 with the inspiration of the late Diego Maradona. 

Boosting the global wonder player Lionel Messi, they will look up to him this time around for an inspiration as they face the lowly rated Saudi Arabia at Lusail Stadium in Lusail at 12h00.

This is the 1st fixture in Group C with Mexico and Poland scheduled to kick in the evening. Argentina came ose on 2014 when they lost in the final to Germany in Brazil. Pundits submit that this may be Messi’s swansong in Qatar.

All countries in group stages have to play against each other and the top two progress to the elimination round.
