After a string of draws and loses, Kaizer Chiefs FC defeated SuperSport United FC 2-1 at FNB Stadium last night.

It was a sort of outcome that coach Arthur Zwane would have welcomed as much as a relief it inevitably evoked.

However, the game started a bit gloomy for the host. For Grant Margeman opened Matsatsantsa’ goal-count in the first half just 15 minutes from kick off. C

Chiefs equalized just 5 minutes before the break, courtesy of Bonfils Bimenyimana. He would get his brace 9 minutes into the second period of the league encounter.

From, Supersport tried to change their tactics to rescue a point but they were met with solid defence.

This is Amakhosi’s 3rd win from their eight games in the 2022/2023 DStv Premiership League campaign taking them to 9th on the log with 11 points. 

Meanwhile SuperSport have played nine games and lie 7th in the standings.
