Highly talented South African music star Tokollo “Magesh” Tshabalala passed away suddenly on Monday morning. Tokollo was 45 year old.
A family news release confirmed that the cause of his untimely death was “epileptic seizure”.

Magesh was a member of the TKZee fame that took the SA music industry by storm with improvised township music in the 1990s. Kwaito was the genre that their music would later be classified in the entertainment sector.
Some of his best work is best remembered on collaborations featuring among other former SA senior men’s team lethal striker and currently Manchester United Football Club (FC) technical staffer Benni McCarthy.
The other main members of TKZee were South African band TKZee, made up of Zwai Bala and Kabelo Mabalane who also went solo in their own careers.
Tokollo’s master was not only known within TKZee, he featured the late sensational songstress TK (Tsakani Mhinga) on “No.1 Tsotsi”, a song among one his masterful solo albums.
Magesh is the son of ex-Mamelodi Sundowns FC, SA senior men’s football coach and current Orlando Pirates FC management Stanley “Screamer” Tshabalala.
