The DStv Premiership League dives back to action in second encounters of the 2022/2023 season this evening with two scheduled matches.

In the earlier kick off, Swallows Football Club (FC) welcomes Cape Town City (CTC) at Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto at 17h00.

Both teams opened their new season’s account on a bad note. Swallows were narrowly beaten (1-0) by their Soweto arch-rivals Orlando Pirates FC on Saturday. Meanwhile City went down at home to defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns FC (2-0). They come face-to-face from defeats optimistically to make improvements this evening.

Later at night, Kaizer Chiefs FC will seek to redeem themselves after going down to Royal AM FC last Saturday. In a league game to take place at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg, they will be hosting Maritzburg United FC at 19h30.

Chiefs lost 1-0 to Royal AM in the first league match away from home on Saturday. Under the stewardship of newly appointed coach Aurther Zwane, ex-player, he is set to inspire his battalion to winning ways. Having secured a 1-1 draw on Saturday at home, Maritzburg visit Chiefs which promises to be a fierce battle.

Three league points are the focus of the contest in both the Tuesday league duels.
