The 2022 national budget tabled by the Minister of Finance Enock Godongwan has received positive accolades in many sectors of the economy and society.

Welfare and social services that guard the indigent have seen some benefits in terms of allocation. Education also receives substantial increases too. On the economic side, funding geared towards growing the economy in infrastructure spending, job creation had received a boost.

Corporate tax and personal income tax will leave companies and individuals with more incomes for investment and consumption or spending. As it is always the case, excise duty has been increased to discourage negative effects.
