Egyptian powerhouse, Al Ahly Sporting Club (ASC), recorded an impressive milestone on Saturday July 17 by winning the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League (CL) trophy for the 10th time since its inception.

Al Ahly clobbered South African side Kaizer Chiefs Football Club (FC) 3-0 at Complexe Mohamed V Stadium in Casablanca, Morocco.

Both teams were evenly matched going into halftime with ASC slightly ahead in ball possession and Chiefs one man down after Mashiane collected a straight red card after review on a reckless lunge.

The victorious avalanche of goals poured in the second half of the game. There was an obvious difference between ASC and Chiefs with the former appearing more fitter owing to their domestic season still in full swing.
