South African Football Association (SAFA) has terminated the services of Molefi Ntseki, the national senior men’s team (Bafana Bafana) head coach, on Wednesday March 31.

Ntseki’s dismissal follows on the heels of failing to qualify SA to the African Nations Cup (AFCON) to be staged in Cameroon next year, 2022.

Bafana Bafana went down away to Sudan when they needed a mere draw to progress. The former booked its place alongside Ghana drawn in the same group.

Sharing his disappointment, Ntseki conceded that he failed in his duty. This, for many, was evidence enough that he had very little to offer the senior team. SAFA lurched on this admission and unleashed the axe on the head coach effective immediately.
