Black Leopards ripped Orlando Pirates to shreds in Thohoyandou Stadium in their DStv Premiership League clash on Sunday.

Descending on this game out of sorts, Lidoda Duvha showed their mettle by defeating The Buccaneers 2-0. The goals came in the first half from (OG) Innocent Maela’s attempted clearance of Leopards corner kick which ended in the Pirates’ back of the net. Roderick Kabwe scored the second for the home side with 5min. to the break.

Orlando Pirates, however, tried to change their game plan in the second half but to no commensurate yield. Leopards were even emboldened by their earlier cushioned lead and defended with all their might until the final whistle.

The yesterday three maximum points moved Leopards two places from the base of the log. Meanwhile Pirates are on the 5th spot on the league table.
