South Africa has recorded its highest Covid-19 deaths yet in a single day since the beginning of the extremely infectious global pandemic outbreak.

A dreadful 572 patients died today. This takes the total number (of those who lost the battle against the pestilence) to 5, 940.

The cases are 394, 948. SA is among the top five countries with the highest infection of the epidemic in the world.

On the one hand, Gautent remains the prime hotspot of novel coronavirus with a share of 36.6% of the total cases in the country. On the other hand, the Western Cape accounts for 46.32% proportion of the deseased.

With neither a cure nor vaccine worldwide, things are bound to get worse before the situation gets better.
