Bidvest Wits FC will host Mamelodi Sundowns FC in the Absa Premiership game at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban Tuesday night, Dec. 17.

Tonight’s kick off for the 5th- and 3rd-placed matchup between Wits and Sundowns is at 19h30.

Sundowns did not leave Durban after clinching the 2019 Telkom Knockout (TKO) Cup by a narrow 2-1 margin against Maritzburg United FC at the same venue on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019.

The Clever Boys [Wits] will have to pull out all the stops to defeat the TKO champions far away from their Johannesburg base to claim maximum (3) points there for the taking.

The Brazilians are still basking in the cup victory over the past weekend. Head coach Pitso Mosimane may need his players to be vigilant and also guard against complacency. Again, they will be playing a 4th game in 10 days including the CAF Champions League match in Morocco.

To this end, Sundowns have accumulated 24 points and trail log leaders Kaizer Chiefs FC by 10. After tonight’s game, The Brazilians will be level on 13 games played with Absa Premiership’s number one (No. 1).
