In one fell swoop, Black Leopards F.C. have sent its head coach Lionel Soccoia and his technical team packing two days after losing the Limpopo derby.

On its Twitter official account, Leopards posted: “A mutual agreement has been reached to separate with the technical Team.”

Soccoia [Frenchman] was assisted by former Kaizer Chiefs captain Patrick Mabedi and “acting team manager” Mlungisi “Professor” Ngubane. There is no denying that the three formed the backbone of Leopards’ technical team.

Their dismissal comes after a crushing 2-0 defeat at home [Thohoyandou] to Baroka F.C. over the past weekend in the Absa Premiership match.

Collapsing in front of the home crowd to a low-profile club proved a beat too much to stomach for David Thidiela, the owner and Chairman of the club.

After five games of the 2019/2020 season, Leopards are 12 on the log standings with four points after one win, one draw and three losses.

Yesterday, Chippa United F.C. and Amazulu F.C. axed their head coaches effective immediately.
