Madagascar senior national soccer team pulls out of Bafana Bafana (SA senior men’s national team) match hardly 24 hours after agreement.
South African Football Association (SAFA) decided to rope in Madagascar at the last minute a day after Zambia withdrew from the September 7, 2019 international friendly due in Lusaka, Zambia.
These withdrawals are motivated by the prevalence of atrocious attacks directed at foreign nationals and their interests in parts of SA cities and townships.
Yesterday SAFA announced Madagascar as a stop gap for Saturday afternoon match in Orlando stadium.
The latest withdrawal leaves Bafana Bafana in limbo during the FIFA (Federation of International Football Association) week or period.
In November, South Africa will face Ghana and Sudan in the 2021 African Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifiers.
