CT City host Chiefs in Newlands

Cape Town City welcome Kaizer Chiefs at Newlands stadium tonight in a league tie. A win for Chiefs may see them stretch the lead to four [4] points at the top of the log – from 7 to 10 – until Wednesday evening. Speculation is rife whether Itumeleng Khune might be available for this clash after being sidelined by a long-term injury.

City are at position six [6 ] on the Absa Premiership table with one win and two draws. While a draw for Benni McCarthy (City’s head coach) may seem not good enough, for Ernst Middendorp, head coach at Chief, it may not be bad away from home. A loss for either side will be hard to stomach.

Another match sees Highlands Park host Amazulu at Makhulong stadium. In their hunt for first win, Amazulu are rooted at the bottom of the Premier Soccer League log with one point. Owen da Gama’s charges, Highlands Park, will be hoping to earn more than point at home by inflict more pain on Amazulu. The coach of Amazulu, Cavin Johnson, is mindful of the fiery Highlands Park with a huge support in Tembisa.
